

Before co-founding Watch Hill Partners in 2003, Bill Detwiler
was a corporate attorney with the law firm of Herrick, Feinstein
LLP specializing in M&A, corporate finance and securities
transactions for clients in a broad range of industries. Mr.
Detwiler also advised private equity and venture capital firms on
fund formation and their related investment transactions.
Earlier in his legal career, he served as a law clerk to U.S. District
Judge Malcolm Muir. Prior to law school, Mr. Detwiler was a corporate finance analyst with Barclays Bank,
where he focused primarily on leveraged buyout financings.
Upon graduation from college, Mr. Detwiler was accepted into a
Price Waterhouse program in which he earned a Masters degree
in Accounting from the University of Hartford while working
full-time in the auditing and consulting departments of Price
Waterhouse. While at Price Waterhouse, he focused primarily
on financial institutions and insurance companies.
Mr. Detwiler received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University
School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the
Villanova Law Review. He also received a Master of Science
degree in Accounting from the University of Hartford and a
Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity College. Mr. Detwiler
formerly served as a member of the Board of Trustees of South Kent
School, and as a former board member, Treasurer and Chairman of the
Finance Committee for the Americans for Libraries Council. Currently he serves on alumnus committees for Trinity College and Villanova Law School.
