

Karan Kalahasti joined Watch Hill Partners in March 2008. Previously, he was an associate in the Leveraged Finance Group at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., where he was responsible for developing and evaluating investment theses in support of underwritten transactions, structuring financings for leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings and assisting several top-tier sponsors in their acquisitions across a broad range of industry verticals.
Prior to entering business school, Karan worked as a project engineer for General Motors Corporation, managing the product development process for key automotive components and developing advanced analytical methods to improve the operational efficiency of critical automotive development processes.
Karan received an M.B.A. from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Masters in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.), Madras.
